Do You Know the Way to San Jose?

Well, San Diego actually. We will be packing up the car and leaving good ole' NorCal in a couple of weeks for Kevin Sharp and Debbie Glazner's wedding mid-April. For the road trip, I'm considering buying a GPS unit which I think might help other than just driving directions. Sure, one can go to Mapquest or Google Maps and map out the directions, but I think the selling point of the GPS is the Points of Interest (POI). If we're on the road and need to stop for gas or take a break, the POI feature can help locate restaurants, gas stations, attractions, etc. I think it would help us make our trip somewhat stress free. Anybody out there have any thoughts?

Holden's Doctor Appointment

Hello All,

Just wanted to fill you in on Tuesday's appt with Holden. Good news is that he is up to 10 pounds, 3 ounces and 22 inches long. The doctor is pleased with his weight gain. He is at the 51st percentile for weight and 50th for height. Dr. Gali noticed that he has a cyst on his uvula the size of a pea. He said he did not notice anything there 2 weeks ago so it has developed since then. He said that we must keep an eye on it and if it gets to be the size of a garbanzo bean then he will need to send him to a pediatric ENT specialist. We are hoping that it will just rupture on it's own. But other than that, he is doing great!

More Kisses

Here's another picture from our "photo session" last Sunday. Elliott had a little accident tonight. She was running around after her bath and tripped over my foot, slamming her head into the door. She got a cut on her forehead and a rather big bump. She cried for some time but was back to her usual self after we put some ice on it.

Sorry to do a complete 180 on everyone but I wanted to let you guys know that The Onion has started its own online news network. For those of you that don't know, The Onion is a paper/website that gives satirical views on current news/events and is hilarious. Check out American Voices. They ask "people on the street" their opinions on a particular subject. Aside from their funny answers, the pictures are always the same but the names change. Well - just check it out.

They Grow Up So Fast...

Cliché I know but oh so very true. Especially for me since I'm out of the house before 7:00 a.m. and back after 7:00 p.m. for work. By then, I usually have about an hour to spend with the whole family before Elliott goes to sleep. Holden turned one month old today and it seemed like we brought him home from the hospital just a couple of weeks ago. We celebrated in a rather anticlimatic way by eating at a taco shop. Elliott is becoming more active and her vocabulary and memory are expanding at an increasing rate. She'll be two in just a couple of months. It will be a busy week this week. It's the end of the quarter so I hope to finish it with a bang - not a whimper (for you T.S. Eliot fans out there).

Were Back!

Well, not exactly but we're close. We got the computer back on Monday but I've been busy restoring everything for the past several nights. At least I have enough to keep me dangerous. We're still deciding on the pictures for the birth announcement but in the mean time, here's a picture of Elliott whom I'm sure many of you haven't seen for some time.

Sorry for the Technical Difficulties...

Hi Everyone!

Our main computer is on the fritz and is now at the Apple Store having its logic board replaced. So much for finishing taxes this weekend. I'm writing this post on our old iMac but it's a little bit slow and its location in the house makes it very tough to do any work. As a result, posts may be few and far between until we get the laptop back which will be 5 to 7 calendar days. We're keeping our fingers crossed that it will be sooner.

Holden had his first bath tonight and it was a living nightmare for him. Pictures are forthcoming.

Elle is Boxed In (Literally and Figuratively)

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

Congrats to my Cousin!

Anna Enerio gave birth to a 7 lb. 10 oz. girl this past Sunday at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto. Isabella Mae was born at approximately 11:08 and, amazingly, was three weeks early. We saw them at the hospital a few hours after the birth and Anna was in great spirits. Papa Anthony, on the other hand, looked like I did at 3:00 a.m. one week earlier. Congrats guys!

In case you guys are wondering why I haven't posted any pictures as of late. Well, Amy has some pictures picked out for the announcement and has placed a moratorium on any new pictures just in case I post one she intends to use. Sorry guys! I'll keep you posted.

Video: Holden Gets Ready to Come Home

Sorry for the bad quality. I'm not sure why YouTube does it with my videos when I see others that are much better. I'll keep experimenting but in the meantime enjoy the 5 minute video!

Holden did well sleeping last night. As a precaution, though, I kept on eye an him while Amy got some well-deserved, undisturbed sleep.
